Petszel: Accessing medical records for your newly adopted cat and other support resources

Toronto Cat Rescue partners with Petszel to provide adopters with access to trusted pet care resources, health information, and ongoing support after adoption.

Petszel is a digital platform designed to help pet owners navigate common questions about their pet’s health, behaviour, nutrition, and overall well-being throughout their journey

How to Access your Petszel Account

As a Toronto Cat Rescue adopter, you do not need to create a Petszel account or sign-up separately.

Once your adoption is finalized, you will automatically receive an email and text message from Petszel containing a secure “magic link” that will take you directly into your pet’s account.

If you haven’t received your Petszel access link:

1. Check your junk or spam folder.
2. Confirm that the email address and mobile phone number provided during your adoption are correct.
3. If you’re still unable to access your account, please contact Petszel Support at support@petszel.com for assistance.

You can also access your account at any time by visiting Petszel and selecting “My Pet’s App” in the top-right corner of the page.

Petszel is one of the many ways TCR continues to support adopters after they bring their new family member home. We encourage you to take advantage of the resources available and reach out whenever you need guidance.

Petcademy: 30 day support

All adopters are automatically enrolled in Petcademy after adoption, so there’s no sign-up link or registration required.

Petcademy will proactively reach out by text and email to provide support, guidance, and access to our educational resources during the first 30 days after adoption.

Our goal is to help keep pets in their homes, where they are happiest.

Behaviour issues are the leading cause for the overwhelming number of cats being surrendered by their owners. Every year, thousands of cats enter GTA shelters and rescues.

Fortunately, most of these problems can be resolved once owners are equipped with the proper knowledge and support.

Toronto Cat Rescue’s post adoption program is a free consultation service for anyone who has adopted a TCR cat and is experiencing behavioural issues, questions, or concerns.

How Does it Work?

Our Behaviour Counsellors will gather information about your situation and work with you to create an individualized behaviour modification plan. They will then be available for guidance and advice as you actively put the plan into motion.

Eligibility: this service is only available to cat owners who have adopted cats directly from Toronto Cat Rescue.
