#HAPPYTAIL Tofu

Forever mom Shea reached out to let us know how her new family member was settling in. It was such a great story we asked if we could share with all of you!

"After becoming aware of the hoarding rescue back in 2015 I applied to adopt and that’s how I met Tofu (His name was Hector at the time). He was skinny, shaved down, smelled and was instantly loved. The introduction to his brother Hollinger was a little touch and go at first and it was a difficult for both to adjust to each other. Eventually after lots of time and patience the two slowly became pals and I’m happy to report they are full blown besties now – always playing together, cuddling each other, or claiming their spot on top of me for pets.

Tofu looooves belly rubs, he’ll instantly flop over the moment you start petting him. He runs to the door to greet any guest and is my personal little shadow (personal space – what’s that??). He’s constantly laying in hilarious positions on his back, or nestled cozily in one of his many beds or favorite spots. If a cupboard or drawer is opened, he’ll be in it. Often in the mornings he’ll nudge his way under the blankets and cuddle up in bed, it’s the best!

Watching him blossom from the condition he was in at adoption to now has honestly been remarkable. He brings joy to many, most of all me, and I’m so thankful to have been chosen to be his family. Life may have begun with a rough start for him, but the rest of his days since and forever will be next level cushy."
