#HAPPYTAIL Ripley

We hope that everyone had a great long weekend and are ready to kick off a short week 😀 To get you started on a happy note, we are sharing an update on Ripley.

We have heard from Louise, Ripley's forever home on how she is doing. A shy kitty, she has taken some time to get used to her surrounding but it sounds like things are going really, really well.

From Louise:

When I first got her, she spent the first 2 weeks hiding in my closet, getting out to use the litter box or to eat only after I had gone to bed and turned the lights off. Slowly, she started getting used to her surroundings.

She is not a lap cat, and still will not let me approach her. But she loves playing with the toys I got her, when she thinks I am not looking. She also takes some time to get accustomed to new things.

When i took her to the vet for her yearly check-up, I was told she was a kilo too heavy and that she would benefit from exercising more (did I mention she is food oriented?). So I got her a cat tree, a cat condo and a feeding ball. It took her 2 weeks to figure out what the feeding ball was for (don't worry, I was still putting food in her bowl until then). And I had to put some (not too much) treats for her to climb on the cat condo and the cat tree . She loves to climb on the cat condo to nap, or look out the window of my third floor condo.

It sounds like Ripley has landed in exactly the right home who are patient with her shy ways and are doing everything to keep her happy and healthy. Thank you Louise for giving her such a lovely home ❤️🐾❤️
