TCR has 450+ cats in foster care – fall in love here!
We have cats of all ages and colours, cats that are playful and cats that are laid-back. We have kid loving kitties, and cats that wish for adult-only homes. Cats that love dogs, and cats that want to be the the only pet-love of your life. We have low maintenance cats, and cats that require lots of tender loving care or medication. Our adoption co-ordinators can help you pick a kitty that is a purr-fect fit for your home, if you can’t decide! All of Toronto Cat Rescue’s cats are special in their own way and very deserving of a second chance at love!
Decided on the kitty you would like to adopt? Please call the TCR Hotline – 416-538-8592 (press 1 for adoptions and leave a message). Email: tcr.adoptions@gmail.com for a pre-adoption interview. Fill in the on-line adoption form below.
Adoption Process: An adoption co-ordinator will return your call and give you more details about the cat you are interested in and ask some questions about your home to make sure the cat will be a “purr-fect” fit. We are happy to answer any questions you may have as well.
Next you will be supplied with the foster home address to have a meet and greet with your kitty. If both parties are happy, you can sign the TCR Contract of Adoption, pay the adoption fee and take your kitty home with you (in a safe carrying case).
Our adoption fee is $175. Each cat has a two week assessment period in their foster home before being available for adoption. This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the medical attention they need and we learn about their personalities, likes & dislikes. Our fee includes: spay or neuter, vaccination (and receive a rabies vaccination if age appropriate) and includes 6 weeks of free pet insurance. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations & fundraising carry us the rest of the way!
TCR offers six weeks of free pet insurance for your newly adopted cat through Adopt Secure. To activate your free pet insurance, please go to adoptsecure.ca or call 1-800-268-1169 within 10 days of the adoption. We recommend that you activate the insurance when you bring your new family member home with you. For a quick Adopt Secure summary of coverage: Adoptsecure Program Summary.

Hope you find the cat a good home.
I have adopted my wonderful new campaign Kingston, he has now been apart of my family for 3 weeks. I was really surprised on how fast he adapted into his new home, but he loves it. His favourite thing to do is play tug-a-war as well as get into everything he’s not supposed too. I could not have made a better choice, the most loving, caring and affectionate being I have had! Thank you tcr for making my new found friendship possible, there are many great times that we shall share together!!
Just adopted Ethel, and we were all pleased with the process & love our new little girl. She seems very happy & we couldn’t be more pleased!
I have a male cat. I want to give him away because I can take care him anymore. Please lat me know how can I do?
A cat around 6 months years old, brown hair, very cute, smart and lovely.
Thank you for your help.
