We are very sad to share the news that former Toronto Cat Rescue President Ferne Sinkins passed away Wednesday, January 18th, 2017.

For decades, Ferne was the go-to person for many people seeking advice, or helping to rescue a cat. Many of us at TCR have stories of some way that Ferne touched our lives personally with the kitties in our homes right now. She always fought hard for better spay/neuter access for the public. Ferne's devotion to the kitties who couldn't advocate for themselves was admirable, and her can-do attitude will be missed.
