Sofia Demidova

Sofia has adored cats as far back as she can remember and has grown up with cats in the home. Missing their furry companionship but not being able to commit to cat ownership, Sofia started fostering for TCR in 2019. Wanting to get more involved, she became a Foster Coordinator in 2023. Being an FC gave her a glimpse into the inner workings of TCR and instilled a deep respect for the dedicated people that carry out TCR’s mission on a daily basis. Stepping into the role of Volunteer Coordinator was a natural progression.

Sofia has an extensive background in performance art, both as a performer and theatre producer. She holds a double major in Devised Theatre and Psychology from York University. She loves to travel around the world, explore local eateries, binge her latest favourite show, and be in nature.
