Store volunteers are a vital part of the rescue role ensuring the TCR cats are cared for while at the store. Being in PetSmart allows our cats amazing exposure to potential adopters and we adopt hundreds of cats through our partner stores each year. Store volunteers are one of the main reasons why! Headed by a store coordinator, volunteers commit to one shift a week at a store location to care for the cats. Each shift will require giving every cat time out of their cage to stretch and play, cleaning the cage, scooping litter and topping up food and water. Volunteers also meet adopters at the store locations to finalize any adoption paperwork and facilitate the cat’s final step to their forever home. Our store shifts are morning and evening 7 days a week.
