#HAPPYTAIL Pinkerton

We have a Pinkerton update! I'm sure you all remember Pinkerton - super shy boy who had been returned a couple of times to TCR - well check out this AWESOME update from his new forever home.

Melissa writes:

"We adopted Pinkerton from TCR and decided to keep his name, not just because it suits him perfectly, but he actually comes when you call him! He came to us at an unprecedented time - during a global pandemic, and we can’t imagine a better cat to quarantine with.

We initially contacted TCR about a different cat, but hearing that such a dapper looking gentleman (that we were already following on Instagram) was up for grabs just seemed too good to be true! We were warned that he was very shy and that he would need the presence of another cat to help ease him into our home, and that it could take months to actually see him come out from hiding, but we were ready for the challenge.

Pinky’s foster mom Amanda was amazing for coordinating video chats and a social distanced adoption for this handsome boy. He was terrified when he first arrived and hid for his first week, but using the suggestions and pointers we had been given, soon we had him out from under the bed and literally eating out of our hand. Sadly our cranky older cat was less than welcoming, but thankfully Pinky instinctively knew we were definitely his new family. Almost three months later and Mr. Pinkerton has settled in perfectly with our little family, thanks TCR!"

This is such an amazing #HappyTail as we were all rooting for the perfect family for our Pinky and it definitely looks like he found it! Thank you for sharing this with us Melissa and to his 5-star foster mama Amanda D for working so hard to find him the perfect place.  You can follow his adventures @pinkyandkuku on Instagram!
