#HappyTail Phoebe & Korra

In August of 2021, I made the decision to adopt a rescue cat. I had always wanted a cat of my own and loved the idea of adopting an adult cat.

I found a very sweet tabby cat online named Fagan, who was being fostered under TCR’s care, and I knew right away she belonged in my home. Her original owner had passed away, and it broke my heart. Now named Phoebe, it’s been so lovely to have a once shy and quiet cat become a little noisy light in my home.

Fast forward to April 2022, my partner moved in, and his love for Pheebs inspired him to adopt as well. This past November, we adopted Mira (now Korra) from TCR, and it’s been such a lovely journey welcoming a kitten into our home too.

Phoebe is warming up to this new, tiny and sweet tyrant. Two nights ago, the girls broke down some boundaries, and Phoebe begrudgingly shared a nap with Korra on her favourite chair - a win in our books. Every day they are getting a little closer!
