Provide superior customer service by ensuring that all public inquiries are handled within 24 hours.

Help Us Make a Difference
TCR receives daily calls and emails from the public.  These can vary from media interview requests, requests for information, interest in volunteering, offering donations, etc.  We are looking for individuals to join our General Inquiries team to check messages, forward to the appropriate party and respond back when necessary. Each volunteer is assigned a specific day of the week.  The call volume is fairly low and typically averages 1-3 calls per day.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Approximately 2 hours per week

  • Check the general voicemail and email messages at least 3 times per day (once in the late morning, once in the afternoon and once in the evening)

  • Return calls from the public in a timely fashion

  • Clarify information from the caller and forward it to the correct party for follow-up or directing the caller to the correct area of our website for more information

Qualifications & Expectations

  • Customer service experience

  • Compassionate, patient, pleasant and positive nature

  • Highly organized

  • Excellent phone skills, enjoys talking to people 

  • Team player

  • Proficiency with Gmail and Google Docs

  • Able to troubleshoot problems quickly and professionally

  • Strong initiative and able to complete tasks with little supervision

  • Reliable

  • minimum 6 month commitment
