Business and Corporate Partnerships Volunteer

Goal

To support Toronto Cat Rescue to develop and maintain meaningful relationships with businesses and corporate partners, in order to help raise essential funds for our mission and to expand our reach and brand recognition.

In this position you will play a key role in expanding our network of business and corporate supporters. By helping to foster partnerships and secure vital support, your contributions will directly impact the success of our rescue initiatives and programs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Research prospective business and corporate partners for Toronto Cat Rescue.

  • Build and nurture relationships with potential partners through email, LinkedIn, and CRM tools.

  • Manage ongoing relationships with business prospects, ensuring regular communication and engagement.

  • Collaborate on the design and development of partnership opportunities.

  • Contribute to creating materials such as pitches, decks, proposals, one-pagers, and more to support partnership development.

  • Ongoing CRM and other database management

Qualifications & Expectations

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable engaging with professionals in a business environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and persuasive approach.

  • Experience in fundraising, sales, or corporate relationship management is an asset.

  • Familiarity with CRM tools and Google Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets).

  • A commitment of approximately 6-10 hours per month, with specific time-based project deadlines.

Training new volunteers takes time. As such, we ask that applicants be available to commit to at least 6 months of their time.
