Spayed, Vaccinated, DOB April 2, 2006. Tess is a lively, funny and affectionate cat who, despite being a little chubby, likes to play and bounce around like a kitten. It took a while to realize what a delight she is because she spent the first week in her foster home behind the washing machine and she is still a little skittish. Her foster Mom put her on a diet and she has lost considerable weight (and is on a normal diet now) but her food intake will need to be monitored. She likes to cuddle with her foster mom and seems fascinated by the TV. Like her sister, Mariah, she doesn’t meow but squeaks when she has something to say.
She and her sister Mariah were born to a rescue cat and the sisters spent the first five years of their lives with a single, elderly gentleman who is no longer able to care for them. Tess can be adopted by herself or with her sister. Although she appears to have been well cared for and loved, she has had a very quiet life to date. It would be best if she was adopted into a quiet, adult home. She has had no experience with other animals except her sister and would probably do best as an only pet. Anyone who adopts Tess will need to be patient and loving while she gets used to her new surroundings, but will eventually be rewarded by a charming cat with personality to spare.
