It’s #GivingTuesdayNow and we need your help
Since the announcement of the emergency measures around the COVID-19 pandemic, as you know we have adapted the way we do business to ensure that we could continue to save cats and kittens in desperate need, as well as allow for safe adoption into forever homes. It has been critical to our staff, our board and our volunteers that this work has been able to continue. But I am concerned that we are at risk of being able to keep going in the current environment.
We desperately need your help to keep rescuing cats at immediate risk as we head into our busiest season. We may not be able to do these rescues without you.
GivingTuesdayNow is a new global day of giving and unity that is happening today as an emergency response to the unprecedented need caused by COVID-19.
May is normally a time when Toronto Cat Rescue would be gathering together for our Annual Bowl-a-thon. This year would have been our 16th. Given the state of the world unfortunately, we can not move forward with that at this time. Aside from being a fun afternoon together with friends and family, our bowl-a-thon last year raised $40,000 at time when we most need it…kitten season. This year, those critical funds are gone.
That translates into over 300 cats that we may not have the funds necessary to help. And that’s why we are asking for your help today.
Lucky for us a longtime volunteer has stepped up to match every dollar donated!* That means every dollar that you donate counts as two. This incredibly generous gift will help us reach our goal even faster.
* Gifts matched up to $10,000
