Save 100 cats in Toronto, Ontario

Help Save 100 Cats this #GivingTuesday

Life on the streets is hard.  Life in a shelter is hard.  It’s no way for an animal to live, especially cats. They need a safe, familiar place to feel comfortable and at ease.  Without this, it’s a life of suffering. When one of TCR’s partners are desperate, with your support, we help. Today is one of those days.

This Giving Tuesday, YOU can help give 100 cats and kittens a second chance to find a loving, forever home. Regularly, we help a large, rural shelter in Quebec when they become overwhelmed. Too many cats with not enough homes to adopt them. These cats come through TCR for a better chance of adoption, and the better life they deserve. By bringing them to cities like Toronto, Kitchener, Waterloo, Guelph and Cambridge, the shear difference in population size allows for a greater chance that these cats will find the loving homes they deserve.

Each cat requires a basic physical exam and rabies vaccination upon arrival in Toronto from overcrowded shelters in Quebec. We know from experience that there are bound to be other unforeseen medical costs – older cats need dental care, which is incredibly expensive. But every cat will see the vet, and get the care they need, no matter what.

From experience, we know we need to a minimum of $15,000 for this rescue.

This #GivingTuesday, we’re gracious to our community and proud to share that once again, a longtime volunteer has stepped up to match every dollar donated!* That means every dollar that you donate counts as two. This incredibly generous gift will help us reach our goal even faster.

Sponsor a cat for only $125, or donate what you can. It’s a small price to pay for saving a very precious life!
