Rescue In Action: 62 Lives Need Saving
Update: A HUGE, heartfelt thank you!! We met our fundraising goal, and saved 62 lives in one day!!
THANK YOU to everyone who donated, and to everyone who is helping out with the recent Quebec rescue. All the cats will be spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and will receive any other medical care they need. Your donations go directly to the care of cats. Watch for news about our adoption events, and spread the word so we can get these sweeties adopted and in their purr-fect forever homes soon!
Late last week, the overcrowded Quebec shelter that we helped before Christmas reached out to Toronto Cat Rescue again with an urgent need. They once again are unable to offer refuge to all the unwanted, abandoned and homeless cats who have entered their shelter and 62 cute, friendly and highly adoptable cats are at risk. Knowing how quickly our community came together to help in December, we did not hesitate to say yes to the call for help.
But we needed to act quickly, so as I write, these cats and kittens are already on their way to Toronto. I am hoping that we can count on you once again to help us with the cost of carrying for these cats. The vast majority of these cuties are not yet been spayed or neutered and will need additional vaccinations before they can go on to find their forever homes.
TCR is the only organization that will undertake a rescue of this magnitude. You know that we have a high capacity to rescue, but even this one cannot be pulled off without some help. These highly adoptable cats need our help!
Please consider making a donation of $125 to sponsor one cat. The cats will require basic veterinary care and some are bound to have unforeseen medical concerns. Our goal is to raise a minimum of $5,000 to support their care. If you are unable to fully sponsor one of the cats, a gift of $40, $65 or $75 would go a long way in helping us reach our goal of $5,000.
Thank you for your ongoing support!
