Volunteer: Adoptathon Screeners

star2Do you want to help Toronto Cat Rescue (TCR) find homes for abandoned cats? Do you enjoy talking to people and have weekend availability to volunteer for TCR a few times a year? TCR is in need of new volunteers who will act as adoption screeners at our adoptathon events that happen on weekends throughout the year.

Adoptathon screeners interview prospective adopters at adoptathon events, process the adoption paperwork, and act as matchmakers for the cats at the event. Adoptathon events take place in Brampton, Vaughan, Scarborough, Kitchener, and throughout the GTA.

When: Sunday, March 30th, 2pm-4pm

Where: Bloor/Gladstone Library – main floor community room
1101 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON M6H 1M7
(near Dufferin Subway station)

Requirements and Expectations:
– Must be 18 years or older
– Availability to volunteer for 4-8 hours on weekends at least three times a year
– A positive attitude and open mind
– Customer service and/or interview experience an asset
– Previous experience volunteering or adopting through TCR is valuable but not required
– Access to a car is valuable but not required
