Toronto Cat Rescue’s Annual Report: 2011-2012

June 2011 to June 2012 was a very busy year for Toronto Cat Rescue, highlights include:

– 1,587 kitties found their forever homes via Toronto Cat Rescue in 2011!

– We found homes for a few cats that had been in foster care for over two years! Finally seeing them get adopted was extremely exciting. We also saw many special needs and senior cats find their forever homes.

– We reached out to 8 new feral cat colonies and began trap-neuter-return strategies.

– We welcomed more than one hundred new volunteers who are integral in placing more cats in loving forever homes.

– We added several new affiliated pet stores, all together providing even more space and exposure than before for our many adoptable cats.

– We had more adopt-a-thons than ever, in both new and existing affiliated pet stores across the GTA!

– One of our biggest fundraisers, our annual Bowl-A-Thon changed locations and grew exponentially.

  1. Good to hear you’ve adopted a furbaby, Brett! Congratulations. My two daughter have been helping out with TCR for almost 2 1/2 years now and LOVE it. These cats/kittens are so special and give out so much love. It’s such a great feeling to help out. You get so much more in return than you give. P.S. – we are the proud parents to 5 cats! Love every one of them 🙂

  2. As an adoptive parent to “Mooch” – who was an older cat and not a kitten – I am thrilled to read of pets like him finding “forever homes”. Please know that you are doing good work and I hope to join you soon.
