Adoption Counsellor

Health Care Advisor
The Healthcare Advisor supports the well-being of cats and kittens in TCR’s foster program by triaging health concerns and guiding caretakers through treatment decisions. This remote role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and cat health knowledge, with a minimum six-month commitment.
Store Volunteers
Our in-person store volunteers are vital in ensuring that TCR cats are cared for while at the store. We are currently looking for store volunteers for our Cambridge, Waterloo and Kitchener PetSmart locations.
Volunteer Centre Representative
This role keeps TCR’s volunteer centre organized, clean, and welcoming while ensuring foster homes receive the supplies they need. This role involves managing donations, assisting visitors and volunteers, and handling supply pickups and orders, with a minimum one-year commitment.
Transportation Coordinator
The Transportation Coordinator ensures the safe and efficient movement of cats between foster homes, vet clinics, adoption centres, and shelters by managing and scheduling volunteer drivers. This flexible, detail-oriented role requires strong communication and coordination skills, with a minimum six-month commitment.
Foster Coordinator
Support foster homes with the medical and behavioural needs of foster cats, and help prepare them for adoption into a forever home. Remote position.
Store Coordinator
Ensures cats in the retail adoption program receive excellent care by overseeing volunteer recruitment, training, scheduling, and communication. This role requires strong organizational and leadership skills to manage volunteers, maintain records, and support adoption events, with a minimum six-month commitment.
Intake Administrator
The Intake Administrator plays a vital behind-the-scenes role in coordinating the safe and efficient intake of cats into TCR’s care by managing data, documentation, and communication across teams. This remote, detail-oriented position requires strong organizational and communication skills, with a daily 1–3 hour commitment and flexible scheduling.
