Donations Are Always Needed and Appreciated!

As an all-volunteer charitable organization, Toronto Cat Rescue needs donations of every kind, from pet food and other cat supplies to the cash required to pay veterinary bills and even Canadian Tire money. All donations go directly to the care of rescued cats – every penny counts!

Donate Online via Canada Helps: Online donations are secure and easy and can be one-time only donations or per-arranged monthly donations.  You are able to choose if you would like your donation to be a general donation or for the money to be used for a specific cause: our feral colony program, our spay/neuter program or to sponsor a featured TCR cat of your choice.

Donating via CanadaHelps also allows you to make a donation to TCR as a special gift to a friend or family member, or in honour / in memory of a loved one.  If you wish, an e-card or a card sent by postal mail can be sent to your friend acknowledging your donation to the cats.

Toronto Cat Rescue volunteers are busy trapping cats to Trap-Neuter-Release(Monitor) at the colony, but there are many more to go and the funds are greatly needed to support the project!  If you are interested in purchasing a set of earrings or a necklace (or one or more of each!) please fill in the online form below and a volunteer will get back to you shortly. 

Fundraising: Download and read our “Fundraising Tips” document, which includes: why TCR needs your help, along with easy (and more elaborate) ideas that have worked! Donations do not have to come directly from your wallet – help raise much needed funds by involving your friends, family and your community!  Contact Nalini (nalini1068@yahoo.com) to share your fundraising event ideas or to promote your TCR affiliated event on our site or social media outlets.

Food & Litter Donation: Do you have cat food, litter or other cat-related items that you would like to donate to the cats in foster care or to our feral cat feeders? We would love to hear from you!  Please call us (416) 538-8592 and leave a message after the beep with your name, your location and the items you wish to donate.  Items may be picked up from your home by one of our volunteers, or we will let you know where to drop the items off  as TCR does not have a shelter.  TCR is always desperate for food and litter.

CharityCar.ca: CharityCar.ca is a great service that will pick-up your car and give 100% of the value of the car as a donation to TCR. Plus, you will receive a tax receipt in the amount of the donation. CharityCar.ca are licensed North American Auto Recyclers. They dispose of the environmentally hazardous materials in vehicles that have reached the end of their useful lives in an eco-friendly way.  You can’t lose! You will find all the needed information and next steps on their website.

Donate a bed or a cat tower via Kuranda to be used in our in-store fostering locations (including adopt-a-thons) and in our lovely volunteer foster homes.  Everyone loves to be comfortable, especially cats!

Postal Mail: Send your donation via TCR’s mailing address.  Please make a note for what you would like your donation to be used towards, or  if you would like to be sent a tax receipt.
