Baxter
DSH, brown tabby and white, male, neutered, vaccinated, DOB June 1999. Baxter The Lion Hearted was rescued from a cat community in Mississauga when a volunteer feeder noticed his leg was mangled. It was so badly injured that his right back leg had to be amputated at the hip, along with his tail. TCR placed Baxter and his brother, Beasley (now deceased) into long term foster care, so he would be safe, cared for and well feed for the rest of their lives. His brother was tamed, but Baxter The Lion Hearted remains feral – even though he has lived with his foster parents for years. He is in good health, very strong and handsome, though completely unapproachable.
Baxter has the dream life of a feral cat as he comes and goes as he pleases – his foster parents have a stunning backyard with a cat friendly garden and benches, so he is safe while outside. A donation in Baxter’s name is greatly appreciated as TCR has paid, and will continue to pay, for all of Baxter’s medical expenses. A donation may be made via CanadaHelps is greatly appreciated. His foster dad adds: “Despite his severe handicaps, he is a strong, magnificent cat and we admire him greatly”.
