We have set up the Toronto Cat Rescue Sponsorship Program to give you the opportunity to sponsor one of our very special cats and help TCR with their care. This allows TCR to save special cats and kittens that others would ignore.
Sponsorship of a particular cat can be done through CanadaHelps by one time only donation, or monthly deductions from your credit card.
Toronto Cat Rescue often takes in cats who have had some unfortunate experiences in their lives. Some of our rescued cats have been simply put outdoors to fend for themselves when their owners move or decide to ‘get rid’ of them. Others are born outside never to experience a loving hug or regular meal. The occasional cat requires special foods or medications. Some cats test positive for feline viruses, which are not contagious to humans. With proper care, patience and love, many of these cats are able to lead long and normal lives.
Toronto Cat Rescue is very hopefully that very special people will choose to give one of these kitties a loving forever home.

The volunteers of TCR cannot resist trying to find better lives for these heartwarming kitties. They then become as much a part of the TCR program as any of the other highly adoptable cats. Because they do not fit the usual profile of an ‘adoptable’ cat they remain the responsibility of TCR for a long time, or life, as we do not believe in euthanizing.

I don’t remember the old TCR site having a Cat Sponsorship page (though I may have missed it?) This is great to see though. Warms your heart to know how devoted TCR is to their cats. I was unaware that long-term foster care existed and that TCR continues to pay for the cat’s medical expenses.
