ALL kitties at the event will have a reduced adoption fee of $100! This is an amazing deal as our adoption fee includes spay/neuter, vaccinations (rabies when age appropriate) and 6 weeks of free pet insurance.PLUS: All adopters will receive from PetSmart a free bag of Purina Pro Plan dry and other coupons for Petsmart merchandise and Purina food & litter.

We had 42 adoptions this weekend from all of our PetSmart locations that participated in the adopt-a-thon!!! Thank YOU adopters, PetSmart, and all of the volunteers that made it this great success happen!!

Join us February 22nd to 24th at Toronto Cat Rescue’s affiliated PetSmart locations below for a HUGE Adopt-A-Thon event! Many, many kitties will be in-store waiting for their forever families to adopt them… will you add a furry member to your family? The cats sure hope so!!

Desperate For A Loving Home Together

Update: These lovely ladies were adopted February 2nd, and are now in their forever home!

The girls were featured on CP24 Breakfast Monday, January 14th!

Sisters Skye and Midnight are looking for their forever home together.  They are 6 year old, declawed lovely ladies with a sad past.  The girls were well treated by their loving mom owner, however, she was married to a man with a temper.  The domestic violence began to escalate and she was forced to give up her darling cats, in order to flee to shelter to get away from the abuse.  It was torture for her to give up her kitties.  She stayed in the abusive relationship for years as she didn’t want her furbabies to lose their home.  This occurred recently, over the Christmas holidays, so the girls are disoriented and sad – getting used to being uprooted.  TCR heard about their plight and was happy to take them into our program.  We would LOVE for them to get settled soon in a home where they will be safe and loved, as everyone deserves to be.

Spread Christmas Cheer – Volunteer With Us!

Get into the holiday spirit by volunteering with us!  PetSmart’s Photo With Santa promotion is taking place in December and lets pet parents and their pets pose for a photo with Santa.  If they purchase a digital photograph in a holiday collector frame a portion of the proceeds collected at Toronto Cat Rescue’s affiliated store locations will be donated to TCR kitties!

We need volunteer Santas, elves, and photographers to make the event possible at our PetSmart locations. Outfits and equipment are supplied by PetSmart. It is a great way to get into the holiday spirit while helping a great cause, and seeing all the cute animals snuggle in with Santa!  If you would like to help, please fill in our volunteer form below!  For maps to the store locations, click here.  Thank YOU!

The event takes place from 11am – 4pm: December 1 and 2, December 8 and 9, December 15 and 16.

UPDATE: Our PetSmart Adoption Weekend was a GREAT success with 79 kitties being adopted!!! Thank you to all the fabulous adoptive families, and the volunteers and PetSmart staff that volunteered their time to help the cats get their second chance at love.

Join us on Friday, November 2th to Sunday, November 4th for a HUGE adopt-a-thon with PetSmart! Please welcome a new furry family member (or two!) into your home. There will be lots of cats and kittens waiting to meet you outside of their foster homes.

Our adoption fee at the event only is $100 per cat or kitten. The adoption fee ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the medical attention they need, are spayed or neutered, vaccinated (and receive a rabies vaccination if age appropriate). Our fee also includes 6 weeks of free pet insurance.
