Adopt Fun-Loving Lyall

Adopt Charming Lyall!

Update: Lyall has been adopted by his loving foster family (which includes a fun-loving kitty!).

You could call Lyall “Mr. Personality”, he is such a smart and complex little character, who is almost dog-like in his antics. One of those rare cats that could turn a “dog person” into a “cat person”. His foster mom remarks that she has never met such a special and unique cat before! He is very playful, super affectionate and very interactive. He is such a social boy and would be over the moon if he could go to a forever home with another cat to play with. Due to his laid back personality, he could probably do well in a home with a dog as well. He thrives on love, so he must go to a home which will provide him with lots of it. He would be amazing in a family with children as he is so gentle and engaging.

Lyall likes to be where the action is and will follow his mom around wherever she goes. He has the softest fur and is a snuggler. His favourite thing to do is to get up close to your face, put a paw on either side, and lean in for a long hug and a kiss on your chin. Had a bad day? This guy will cheer you up. He loves to give gifts. His foster mom often wakes up covered in socks, mittens, and other assorted items that he has found around the house and left as gifts in the night.  He’s polite though, and always waits for her alarm to wake her up and show off his hard work. He loves all kinds of toys and his favourite game is playing “fetch” with his foster mom

Lyall is an all round wonderful cat! He was diagnosed as having FIV and as a result, has an immune system that is a little weaker than a cat that does not have FIV. Cats that have FIV can live a long and healthy lives, provided they live in a stress free environment, and have an excellent diet. Cats with FIV do have weaker immune systems so need to be monitored for any health issues.  Lyall is currently taking an inexpensive medication that works to boost his immunity. He is experiencing excellent results with this medication and the TCR vet recommends he continue on it indefinitely. He is on a liquid that he takes every other week and he is excellent in taking his medication with a dropper, or in his food.  He can live harmoniously with another welcoming indoor cat who is vaccinated.  FIV is only transmitted through deep bite wounds so it is not a risk to non-FIV+ cats to live with FIV cats as long as they are calm and friendly with other animals.

Lyall has been neutered, vaccinated and was born March 31, 2012.

Loving Bina Seeks Her Forever Family

Bella “Bina” (“Sabina”) dreams of a loving forever home that will never abandon her again! This confused little girl was taken to a high kill animal control pound by a landlord after he found her abandoned in an apartment; her former home. She had been left there by her previous family when they ran out in the middle of the night owing rent! Quickly becoming a favourite at the pound, Bina was rescued by Toronto Cat Rescue, and now she deserves a real home where she will be cherished and never again be left behind. She has yet to find that true forever home, even though she’s been waiting a long time. She hopes she’ll find it soon though, for she just wants to love and be loved in return.

Bina is so easy to care for. She is very clean, uses her scratching post, and eats a variety of wet/canned foods. She is healthy and playful, and very curious! She loves kisses, catnip pouches, looking out windows at the birds and squirrels, and nibbling at earlobes when she can! She’ll help you put away your groceries, all the while making sure you’ve not forgotten to buy hers! Bina is best suited to an adult only home and is probably best as an only pet where she can enjoy lots of love and attention. After a long day at work, Bina will greet you with her chatter at the door, and maybe a toy mouse. She has missed you! How was your day? She’s ready to tell you all about hers!

Bina has been spayed, vaccinated and has tested negative to Feline Leukemia and Feline Aids. Her date of birth is January 5, 2008. Bina’s adoption fee is $100 as her foster mum is donating the $75 balance of the regular fee in order to promote Bina and help her dream of finding a wonderful home come true. Please help us find Bina a home. To adopt sweet Bella Bina please call us 416-538-8592, press #1 / email us: tcr.adoptions@gmail.com / fill in our adoption online form on our Adopt A Cat page.

Please Adopt Dirty Chin & Rusty

Dirty Chin and Rusty are two amazing brothers seeking a home together. They were born December 14th, 2010 and have been neutered and vaccinated.  Their foster mom tells them every day that they are two of the most loved kitties in the world (and to tell you the truth, they love her just as much, telling her by “squeeking” it to her – she says it is the cutest little sound)!

Their foster mom rescued them from a not-so-good situation outside and boy, are they thankful she did. The winter had just arrived and she took them inside and gave them a warm place to sleep and a lot (and we mean a lot) of nice food in their bellies.

Rusty and Dirty Chin show her how thankful they are everyday by rolling on the ground and allowing her to pet their bellies and give them kisses – the things they “allow”, just to make their foster mom happy! Okay, so maybe they enjoy it as well, but don’t tell her that!

Their foster mom will only allow they boys to go to the VERY best of the best home (a purr-fect matched home). Where thet will be part of their family and where they will never have to switch homes and where Rusty and DIrty Chin will remain together fur-ever. My foster mom told Rusty and Dirty Chin that they will always have each other, that they will never be separated as they are the purr-fect pair and love each other very much.

Rusty and Dirty Chin are two lovable clowns that enjoy playing with their toys, amusing themselves during the day and cuddling with their humans at night. They sleep on the bed with their foster mom and it is the BEST thing ever as they are really great cuddlers! Will you be that lucky one(s) that gets to cuddle with the boys at bedtime? They sure hope so

To adopt the boys please call us 416-538-8592, press #1 / email us: tcr.adoptions@gmail.com / fill in our adoption online form on our Adopt A Cat page.

Skeeter Seeks Loving Family!

Skeeter’s adoption fee is only $100 in the month of July!  Adopt him today!  He is neutered, vaccinated and was born March 1, 2009.

Skeeter was adopted out as a kitten and recently returned to us when he was abandoned by his owners. It was a very traumatic adjustment for this big hunk of luv to go from spending two and a half years with what we thought was his forever loving home to being uprooted into a multi-cat foster home. He has settled now and is an affectionate adorable sweet young man. Skeeter likes to get lots of cuddles and kisses on his foster mum’s knee. Skeeter is fine with the other cats in his foster home. He would be okay in a home with other cats or as a single cat where he can be showered with the love and affection he craves and so deserves.

To adopt, call us 416-538-8592, press #1 / email us: tcr.adoptions@hotmail.com / fill in our adoption online form on our Adopt A Cat page.
