It’s that time of year again! On May 31st 2014, Toronto Cat Rescue (TCR) will be hosting our 10th Annual Bowl-a-thon, and you’re invited!
Last year we raised $16,800 for abandoned cats. Volunteers and supporters joined us for a fun afternoon of bowling, prizes, pizza and photo ops (complete with tails n’ ears!). This year, to honour TCR’s 20th Anniversary, our goal is to raise $20,000 for the cats. We need your help to make it happen!
For the first time we are also introducing the option to raise donations online – making it easier and faster for you to reach your personal fundraising goal.
Create your own team of up to six, or register to be added to a pre-existing team. Each participant must raise a minimum of $70.
Our adoption fee at the event only is $100 for cats all cats under the age of 8 years old. For our senior cats, in lieu of our standard adoption fee, a donation of your choice is appreciated. The adoption fee ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the medical attention they need, are spayed or neutered, vaccinated (and receive a rabies vaccination if age appropriate). Our fee includes 6 weeks of free pet insurance. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year.
Please welcome a new furry family member (or two!) into your home – they would love to be loved by your family. There will be lots of cats waiting to meet you outside of their foster homes.
Do you want to help Toronto Cat Rescue (TCR) find homes for abandoned cats? Do you enjoy talking to people and have weekend availability to volunteer for TCR a few times a year? TCR is in need of new volunteers who will act as adoption screeners at our adoptathon events that happen on weekends throughout the year.
Adoptathon screeners interview prospective adopters at adoptathon events, process the adoption paperwork, and act as matchmakers for the cats at the event. Adoptathon events take place in Brampton, Vaughan, Scarborough, Kitchener, and throughout the GTA.
