Little Tessa has extra toes & a big heart!

Polydactyl Tessa is a gentle, happy little girl. She loves people and is always looking forward to meeting new friends. In the morning, Tessa keeps her foster mom company during breakfast, and then she plays with her favourite catnip mouse. During the afternoon, she has a good long nap, and then she’s ready for more adventures. Tessa is also a very clean cat – she has used her litter box consistently since day one.

A bit like a puppy, Tessa likes to follow her foster mom all around. She also sleeps cuddled up to her foster mom on the bed all night. Tessa isn’t crazy about being picked up, but she is glad to hop up on laps. With such a big purr inside such a tiny body, Tessa charms everyone she meets. She especially loves to rub heads and give little kisses.

Tessa was rescued from a high volume shelter and has really blossomed in foster care… now she just needs her forever family!  Hopefully yours!

Tessa was born March 1, 2011 and has been spayed, vaccinated and has tested FeLeuk and FIV negative.   To adopt, call us 416-538-8592, press #1 / email us: tcr.adoptions@hotmail.com / fill in our adoption online form on our Adopt A Cat page.

  1. Luna Noir from our “Holiday Cat” feature was the only “Holiday Cat” to be adopted! We are so very happy for her and her forever family!!

  2. All of our featured “Holiday Cats” are still seeking their forever homes! Please open your heart and home to a loving kitty… hopefully before Christmas morning!

I filled out the form to foster a cat but i didn’t specify that i would like to foster/potentially adopt Maui, does that matter?

    Thanks,
    Caitlin

do you have any sections for cats with special needs/disabilities?

  5. Andrea says:

It would be great if TCR could have a separate section where all the bonded pairs are listed together, and it would be easier for anyone who is interested in a pair to find them, instead of stumbling over one of a pair in the cats posted for adoption. Most pairs do not have names that are alphabetical, so they do not appear in the postings side by side for example.

  6. I am glad you have improved the layout of the adoptable cats and there is a nice big pic of the cat available for adoption. It would be nice to move the ads down to the bottom and display the cat’s bio next to the picture. I am glad to see all the clutter at the top gone. Can you move the ads for Pet Resource Centre, Important Cat Behavious information, cat health information, tweet me, pet parents (Bayer) to display after the bio.

    • Hi Joan, Our adoptable cats are featured on Adopt-A-Pet.com which is a third party site, so we are not able to impact these suggested changes. We use them to host the listings because they have a significant audience which gives more exposure to our lovely cats.
