Okie has been a loyal companion to his elderly owner for six years, after being rescued from a high-kill shelter. Sadly, he recently had to be moved to foster care when his companion became too ill to care for him. He is a beautiful orange tabby with golden eyes. Despite the resent upheaval, which took some time for him to recover from, he has been charming his foster family with face rubs and purrs. While he doesn’t get along with other cats, he is an extremely easy to care for kitty: not picky about food, great with the kitty litter, and he doesn’t mind being home alone. He loves to hide, but will come out when his foster parents get home and jump right up on their laps, for a brushing or just for a purr while they read a book. He is declawed and up to date on his shots. He needs a quiet home without other pets, and someone who will like to pet him, rub his head, and appreciate his purring. Okie is a real sweetheart, and he is looking for a forever home.
